Action Checklist for a First Date

If you are going on a first date you are probably a bit nervous; this is perfectly natural. So before you start to freak out, be sure to remember that everybody goes through these same feelings; it is nothing that should freak you out too much. One of the best ways that you can calm your nerves before a first date is to have an action checklist that you can use to your advantage. Basically speaking, an action checklist will be full of all the things that you need to do before you meet your date. When you check everything off of your list you will then be able to move forward, and not have to worry that you have forgot something.

Include First Date Necessities

When making your action checklist, be sure to include necessities. Many people make the mistake of having a checklist full of things that are not very important; or at least not the most important on the list. In order to avoid this, when you are putting your checklist together you should only touch on the things that you absolutely need at first. Of course you can also add on other things later in the process, but early on you need to only write down the necessities. This way you will be on track from the beginning, and you can then build on that foundation.

What to Include

The first thing that you should have on your action checklist is money. Not only do you need to remember to take money with you, but you also need to have enough. This holds true for both men and women. Gone are the days when the man paid one each and every date. Also, add other things to your checklist such as movie time, restaurant reservations, etc. Basically, anything that will ensure that your date moves forward the way it is supposed to. After all, nothing could be more embarrassing than getting to a restaurant just to find out that you needed reservations, and you forgot this detail. Finally, you may want to include brief notes such as what you want to talk about. This way if things start to die down you always have something to rely on.
