First Date Let Downs

Going on a first date is something that can be nerve racking, as well as fun. But the fact of the matter is that some of them are simply busts. No matter how much fun you think you are going to have, you get on the date and you run into problem after problem. If you do not like the person who you are on a date with you are put in a tough position. On one side of things you do not want to continue with the date because it is not any fun, but on the other end you must not be rude either. If you find yourself in a tough position there are a couple of options that you can consider.

Respect your Date

Even if you are having a horrible time on your date you will need to respect him or her. You should never treat anybody poorly even if you are having a bad time. Doing this will not get you anywhere, and when you look back on things you will be glad that you were respectful. This can sometimes be difficult if your date is being rude to you or not letting you respect them, but if you can work through this it will be in your best interest. You would be better off leaving altogether than disrespecting your date and causing a big stir.

Should you leave?

If your date is beyond bad, you may want to just call it quits on the stop and go your own ways. Even though this may seem like a good idea, it is easier said than done. What if your drove your date to wherever you went? If you did this, you cannot really leave them and take off. You could, but this would be quite disrespectful to say the least. If both you and your date agree that it is going nowhere fast, you may want to part ways. Just make sure that before you suggest this that you are not going out on a limb. In other words, if your date is having a good time suggesting that you leave early is not going to go over well. As long as you make sure that you are on the same page this will not be a problem. And usually, you will be able to tell if your date is thinking the same way.

First dates do not always work out in the end. All you can do is learn from the experience and then move on.
